Felice Lo Basso was born in Molfetta in 1973 and completed his apprenticeship in renowned gourmet restaurants in Italy and abroad. In 2011 he was awarded the prestigious Michelin star. Endowed with a refined style, always balanced between creativity and research, he makes quality and respect for raw materials his starting point.
My kitchen was born by the sea and raised in the mountains: the connection lies in my constant search for quality products, My desire to experiment with shapes and colors, and to mix flavors.” In his restaurant Felix Lo Basso offers high-level cuisine, sophisticated as far as the preparation of dishes is concerned, but strongly anchored to tradition and Italian raw materials. Intuition, imagination, innovation and creativity are the pillars of his enogastronomical proposition.
His project in Trani includes channeing his experience into designing stunning dishes based on local in-season raw materials, and into supporting local producers. A tribute to Puglia, his land of origin.
This new opening isn’t just an adventure or a challenge, it’s a rekindling of his passion with a land that has given him so much. Despite having traveled a lot and having worked in Alto Adige for several years, Felice Lo Basso has always kept Puglia at the heart of all his dishes.
